Antara Korai Concert

April 11th, 2013

Dear Editor,

I would like to talk to you about the concert in Ejea de los Caballeros (Zaragoza) last weekend, in which we listened to several choirs from different regions of Spain.

In this choral festival, a choir from Alcorcón, Antara Korai, shone over the others. This choir, formed by fifty boys and girls, sang four works from different composers and different styles: traditional, contemporary, sacred music... and a fantastic remix of The Beatles!

The audience enjoyed a lot every song, specially the last one: "Beatles Meadly", an original version performed without instruments, only with the voices of the components. It included songs known by everyone: "Penny Lane", "Michelle", "Ticket to ride", "Yesterday", and "Obladi Oblada".

The concert was fully successful. However, the stage was the City Hall of the village, so it was not prepared for a good acoustics and the sound was too loud; but these inconveniences were settled by the great voices of the choralists.

For the next edition (the 44th), the event could be celebrated in a different place, for example in a theatre, and the former inconveniences could be avoided.

Yours Faithfully,

Daniel Cipitria
