  1. I do like different films and I like musicals as well. It's true that they are sometime too long but if you like the topic of the film and music, you like them too.

I have seen the film "Mamma Mia!". It was a film which I really enjoyed and I always watch it again and it's great.

It is adapted from the Broadway's musical "Mamma Mia!". All of the songs which the film contains belong to the Swedish pop group from the '70s,"ABBA". Some of the songs are, for example "Dancing Queen","Mamma Mia" and "Voulez-Vous".I knew the songs, so I liked the film.

The director is Phyllida Lloyd and the film is from the year 2008. The main actors and actresses are Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgård.

The film is set in a Greek island where Donna (Meryl Streep)lives with her daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), both with economic difficulties. Sophie is going to get married in the island but she doesn't know who her real father is, so she sends 3 wedding invitations to the 3 men who went out with her mother when she was pregnant: Sam Carmichael (Pierce Brosnan), Harry Brigth (Colin Firth) and Bill Anderson (Stellan Skarsgård). She does this secretly, Donna knows nothing about the invitations. Two old friends from Donna arrive to the island as well as the 3 possible fathers. Sophie decides to spend some time with each of them to decide who her real father is. I won't say the ending of the film, you have to watch it!

I loved the film because there many people know the songs as well and they sing along when they watch the film.

And of course, I recommend this film to everyone who likes musicals, love, comedy and adventure stories. If you watch you will enjoy, it from the beginning to the end.

  2. I've seen both "Mamma Mia!" and "Les Miserables", but I prefer the last one.

The original book was written by Victor Hugo in 1862. It had a musical in 1980, in Paris. In 2012 it was brought to the cinema by the director Tom Hooper. It stars Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried.

The film tells the story of Jean Valjean, a man that had stolen a piece of bread in the year 1825. He had been in jail for many years, but finally wentv out and sweared to change. He becomes the mayor of Montreuil-Sur-Mer, and meets Fantine, a worker girl that has been fired and cannot pay for her daughter to be feed. Jean sees all, and, when Fantine dies, he has to take care of her daughter, Cosette. After eight years, Cosette and his father are in Paris, when Cosette meets a boy, Marius, who supports French independence, and they both fell in love. ºBut the rebellion of France and Javert, the police inspector that has been following Jean since he wnet out of jail, are not going to leave Jean Valjean, Cosette and Marius to continue their lives.

The fim shows the people that everyone can change if they want to. It talks about the urban desing of Paris, politics, moral philosophy, justice and religion. It has won three Golden Globs, had been nominated for nine BAFTA awards and eight Academy awards.

I think this film is one of the bests of the year, or even of the decade. I would recommend it to everyone, but the end is very surprising. It's a magnificent film and they are all time singing, so, if you like music, you have to see it.
